Yaletown Puppy Love is looking for an eager, self-motivated individual who wants to grow with us!
We know the perfect dog lover is out there to join our team. Must be professional, organized, flexible and passionate with excellent written and communication skills with an attention to detail.
WANTED: PART-TIME DOG WALKER
The dog walking territory is within Yaletown and Olympic Village (to start). Applicants must be available mid-day, generally between the hours of 11am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends (bonus work). Jobs are scheduled in two-hour time blocks, with flexibility to work around your schedule. Must be able to walk up to three (3) dogs at one time.
Duties include: Key exchange with the office, picking the dogs up at their home/location, taking the dogs for a fun/controlled 30 minute to 1 hour private, and/or group walk, incorporating basic training, dropping the dogs back home. Refreshing water, wiping paws. Sending client Petcare Journals via our online software upon departure. Mobile phone is a must.
On the job training and shadowing will be provided. Prior dog handling experience, and/or animal volunteer work is a bonus. Group dogs are picked up by vehicle, grouped together by proximity. We are looking for applicants who live in the Vancouver area who can drive and walk to work and be available when needed. Reliable vehicle transportation is a must.
Bonus incentives will be provided through bringing on new clients. Additional potential income is available through dog sitting opportunities (home must be pet friendly, clean and safe). Please specify in your cover letter if dog sitting is of interest to you.

Position: this position will take time to grow new clientele to add to your jurisdiction.
Hourly Rate to start: $17.00 per hour
Due to the volume of applicants, we will only be contacting potential hires. Resumes are kept on file for 6 months.
