Beat the Heat with a Dog Cooling Vest

Summer Dog Walking in Vancouver can get Hot, Hot, Hot!

Picture it: It’s a beautiful summer day in Vancouver and you want to take your dog for a walk along the seawall, but you’re worried about all that panting your pup is doing. Providing plenty of water is always a must, but I finally found a product that keeps my dog cool and content on those sunny, summer days.

I’ve used a few different types of dog cooling vests, but this one takes the cake!

Yaletown Puppy Love Vancouver Dog Walking and Dog Sitting. Dog Cooling Vest for Summer Dog Safety

It’s called the Chill Seeker Cooling Vest by Canada Pooch and it’s one of the only cooling vests that I’ve used that actually retains its moisture and cool temperature for the duration of our dog walks.

The water-retaining fabric and mesh layers provide an evaporative cooling effect that helps keep my dog's body temperature down.

HOW IT WORKS

Wet, Wring, and Wear

  • Just add water to initiate the evaporative cooling effect

  • Mesh layers allow for air circulation

  • Rewet when dry to help keep your pup cool

It works especially well when I refrigerate it for an hour before heading out.

FEATURES YOU'LL LOVE

  • No chemical coolants

  • Easy pullover design

  • Side buckle closures with adjustable straps

My dog Mango, who is 10 pounds, is wearing a size 14 in the Neon Pink colour, and if you notice… she’s the only dog in the pack that’s not panting!
