All dogs require a proper identification tag and a valid city license attached to their collar, while in the care of Yaletown Puppy Love. This is in accordance with the laws of The City of Vancouver, and therefore we do not make any exceptions. You can buy or renew your license here: http://www.vancouver.ca/home-property-development/licensing-your-dog.aspx

Please keep in mind we are an exclusive boarding service and due to the fact we only care for 1-2 dogs at any given time- bookings continue as usual without a deposit and booking confirmation from the office. We do not take tentative bookings and cannot guarantee availability if time has lapsed.
Cancellation & Scheduling
Establishing a regular schedule for your dog is recommended. This helps us allocate our walkers and ensure you receive your desired walking window. This also means you do not need to call the office and request services – you can simply count on us being there for your pooch each and every time!
For the reasons above, in the event you need to cancel or change a dog walk, we utilize a 24-hour cancellation policy to make certain all clients receive first-rate service. This gives us time to adjust our schedule and offer the time slot to another pooch.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, a full charge applies. In the event we show up for a scheduled walk and your pooch is not at home or unable to join their walk, a one time fee for that service applies.
Your dogs drop-off and pick-up date and time needs to be provided at the initial booking stage. We reserve the dates you give us exclusively for your dog, so it’s important this information is provided at the payment/booking stage. Most of our bookings are received well in-advance – which means we may have turned others down. Please double check your flight schedule before booking with us to ensure we’ve reserved the correct dates. Example: you have an early a.m. flight out, or perhaps, a late night flight in, you may require an extra nights stay.
Bookings are reserved on a per night basis, with no additional charge for pick-ups by 10am on the last day of service (much like a hotel!). Pick ups after 10am – a full day charge applies.
Essentially a Pet Visit is a “private visit”, where we come into your home and care for your dog or cat, exclusively when you’re out of town or can’t get home for an extended period of time. We do whatever is asked of us during our time with your pet.
A minimum of 7 days notice for cancellations is required for all Pet Visits (excluding reservations over statutory holidays), in order to receive a full credit towards future services. Services booked over statutory holidays, a minimum of 14 days notice for cancellations is required to receive a full credit towards future services. Cancellations made outside of this will not be refunded or credited.
Two Hour Window
Due to the varying schedules of our clients and for the fact we travel by foot NOT CAR maneuvering through Vancouver in all climates, we reserve a two-hour window around the time of your scheduled walk.
Example: If you are scheduled for 12pm, you can expect your walker will arrive between 11am and 1pm. This window helps us manage varying schedules, bad weather, toweling dogs off after rainy days, travel times between clients, and of course the dreadful elevator waits we encounter!
Yaletown Puppy Love requires one house key and one access fob, for all Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services (with the exception of our boarding services), which we collect during the initial consultation. All client keys are coded and kept in a secure lock box. We use specific key codes which do not include personal information. All documentation and credit card information are kept confidential at all times.
Yaletown Puppy Love reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time before or during it’s term, if any of the said agreements and/or requirements have not been met, or if we feel a pet is not a good fit.
We reserve the right to take pictures of your pet(s) that may be used for public viewing – if you wish to have your pet excluded, please let us know before service begins.
